62 LOVE THY NEIGHBOR BY CHRISTINA GEYER. PHOTOGRAPHY JONATHAN ZIZZO. W e have long made the trip west to Fort Worth for its unparalleled museums — The Modern, The Kimbell, et al. But the recent debut of The Shops at Clearfork has us heading there for other reasons. The luxury shop- ping center opened to much acclaim last year with a high-tech Neiman Marcus, as well as Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and more. Alongside Clearfork's many stylish doors, a Houston entrée, B&B Butchers — the posh steakhouse led by owner Benjamin Berg — opened its second location. Ylang 23 owners Joanne and Charles Teichman also have their sights set on Fort Worth, with their second jewelry boutique opening this fall. Daughter Alysa Teichman is leading the charge on the new store, which will stock all the Ylang 23 favorites (Irene Neuwirth, Cathy Waterman, etc.), as well as shiny new names. To celebrate Ylang 23's imminent arrival, Berg threw a dinner party for an intimate crowd at his B&B Butchers with candlelit tables, prime steaks, no end to wine, and a decadent sorbet dessert that won't soon be forgotten, SEEN: Clearfork owners Mary Jane and Crawford Edwards and Martha and Paxton Motheral, Ylang 23's Lauren Havens and Fort Worth store director Bhavini Garaway, as well as Laura Shoppa, Leigh Bornitz, Linda and George Young, Molly and Rusty Reid, and Wendy Hunsaker.
