56 MILLIONAIRES CLUB BY NATALIE GEMPEL. PHOTOGRAPHY TAMYTHA CAMERON, GEORGE FIALA. M aybe it was the dreamy light streaming throughout the party tent, but the Dallas Museum of Art's 53rd annual Art Ball felt like the dawn of a new day. This year's ball — "Horizon: Now. New. Next." — celebrated the museum's 115-year history while toasting to its immense future. Chaired by Rebecca Enloe Fletcher, the evening raised more than $1.3 million for the museum; the live auction alone — chaired by one of the city's most stylish and well connected couples, Brian Bolke and Faisal Halum — brought in $343,000. The evening began with Ruinart Champagne and a special Horizon cocktail with Volcan De Mi Tierra Cristalino tequila. Fendi provided the perfect pre-dinner photo op: a Fendi-branded tandem bicycle and fashionable accessories. As the dinner hour drew near, Salvador Dallas — the party's virtual emcee — invited guests into the main tent, which Todd Fiscus of Todd Events had transformed into a sun-drenched dream. DJ Valida spun tunes, while dancers from Quixotic Cirque Nouveau performed behind screens on stage. Eugene McDermott director Agustín Arteaga and board president Catherine Rose provided opening remarks via a video that played while guests took their seats. Cassandra Fine Catering served an artfully composed meal of sous vide pork belly carbonara and pan-roasted loup de mer with Petrossian caviar. As plates of decadent chocolate mousse were passed, Brook Hazelton, Christie's president of the America's, kicked off the live auction. Hot ticket items included a Parisian package for two, with a bespoke experience at Louis Vuitton and a stay at the Hôtel de Crillon; a trip to Milan Fashion Week with Fendi; and a private chef's dinner at Bullion.
