22 W hile I have always been someone who dreams of summer — beach getaways, early morning walks with my pup, and endless bottles of chilled rosé — I am a fall girl at heart. I look forward to a break in the heat, a wardrobe change, and a packed social calendar. September came and went in the blink of an eye as we raised a glass to PaperCity's 20th anniversary in Dallas with a party at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, hosted at the hotel's newly minted lawn. There was lively music via DJ Lucy Wrubel, a fashion showcase presented by NorthPark Center, and no end to longtime friends of the magazine, who celebrated with us. As publisher, I am often asked what sets PaperCity apart from other publications. Aside from the brand's rich heritage and highly respected position in the market, our editorial content is unparalleled. Each month, our readers are invited into a world of fashion, exquisite interiors, fabu- lous parties, and inspiring works of art. This issue is no different, with an extensive focus on home design as October kicks off the PaperCity Dallas Design Awards and Texas Design Week Dallas. Come Tuesday, October 23, PaperCity hosts its annual Design Awards — presented by Dunhill Partners and Dallas Design District, and this year held at the Joule hotel, with Hutton Wilkinson of Tony Duquette as presenter. Texas Design Week makes it first foray into Dallas (it launched in Houston in Spring 2018), a partnership between PaperCity and Alton LaDay Media. Keynotes, book signings, salon talks, and cocktail events take place in and around the Dallas Design District. Save the dates: Monday through Friday, October 22 through 26. On the schedule (as of press deadline) are interior design greats Victoria Hagan, Suzanne Kasler, Hutton Wilkinson, Nancy Braithwaite, Anthony Baratta, Carl Dellatore, Mary Douglas Drysdale, Ray Booth of McAlpine, Chad Stark, Martyn Thompson, author Helen Thompson, and digital guru Leslie Carothers. For the full TXDW schedule and tickets, click texasdesignweek.com. We are thrilled to share TXDW with a top-tier roster of sponsors, including (at press deadline) George Cameron Nash, David Sutherland, Wells Abbott, Stark, Heritage Auctions, Frontgate, Ambella, Traditional Home magazine, Ornare, the Joule Hotel, Forty Five Ten, AirSea Packing, Savour Partnership, The Kaleidoscope Partnership, and Seasonal Living. With the new season also comes an exciting addition to our PaperCity Dallas team, Kaley Hanna, the magazine's new events and partnerships manager. While Kaley is new to the world of publishing — she comes to us from Rosewood's Mansion on Turtle Creek. Her deep knowledge of the events industry and flawless execution skills bring a fresh perspective to the company. You'll adore her infectious spirit when you meet her on the town at the many PaperCity-sponsored events this fall.
