M useum of Fine Arts, Houston, benefactors Carroll and Harris Masterson were ob- sessed with not only European antiques but also Broadway, and the latter was the theme of the annual Spring Party at Rienzi, the house museum of European decorative arts bequeathed to the MFAH by the philanthropic couple. Before stepping out to the Rienzi gardens for dinner, guests perused the "Broadway's Amazing Mastersons" exhibition (on view through July 31). Playbills from productions financed by the Mastersons and photographs of the couple with stars from mid-century Broadway and Hollywood entertained the chic clutch of supporters. Susan and Bill Finnegan chaired the evening, for which Swift + Company provided the dinner fare and Events in Bloom decorated the scene with bountiful bouquets of peonies, roses, and tulips.
