T he vintage bungalows gracing a prime block in Upper Kirby garnered a wave of praise during this al fresco fête on a perfect spring night. The Cottages at Matt Camron, dressed in fresh coats of pristine white paint, is the handiwork of Matt Esfahani, owner of Matt Camron Rugs & Tapestries, which anchors the site, and his daughter, Sarah Esfahani Tringhese, who purchased and moved the cottages to the property. For this evening, the doors of the bungalows, dating as far back as 1927, were opened wide, and guests poured in for look- sees at the chic spaces created by the conclave of creatives. Guests checked over the interior design finds at Paloma & Co, Maison Maison, Roseanette Navarro Interiors, and Shabby Slips (its second location); perused the fashion at Alchemia; and applauded the snug cottage offices of design firms Jennifer Barron Interiors, Tokerud + Co, and Jackson Warren Interiors, as well as Swiggard Creative. Thirteen entities, including the popular neighborhood restaurant Giacomo's Cibo e Vino, Pomp and Circumstance Boutique, and Restored Motion studio for pilates and yoga occupy the square block of Westheimer between Sackett and Bammel Lane. As Giacomo's waitstaff passed Italian hors d'oeuvres, the twinkle lights glowed.
