90 C hancelor Bennett, better known as Chance the Rapper, was nine years old when he met his future wife. The morning of his wedding to Houston native Kirsten Corley, the daughter of Janice Corley-Blaney of Chicago and Kevin Corley of Maryland, the musician tweeted a story about seeing his bride, then also a child, perform a dance to Destiny's Child's "Charlie's Angels" at his mother Lisa Thompson-Bennett's RE/ MAX office party in Chicago. Chance's father, Ken Bennett, encouraged him to get up and perform as well, but Chance refused. "It's cause I knew I was gonna marry that girl. And I ain't wanna jump the gun," Chance tweeted. The couple met again in 2011 at SXSW. And marry her he did, eight years later, in a ceremony at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach. White cascading orchids, floating candles and three gospel stars set the tone at the reception for a wedding 16 years in the making.
