DIVE INTO OUR DIGITAL WORLD PAPERCITYMAG.COM WOMMACK WONDER O f the many neighborhood pockets of Dallas worth aspiring to (the charming Dilbeck-fi lled Cochran Heights, the lush manses of Lakeside Drive, or literally any home on Tudor-lined Merrimac Avenue), the stretch of Abbott Avenue between Cragmont and Armstrong warrants serious consideration. You're steps from the Katy Trail, Le Bilboquet, and Taverna, as well as every shop on Knox Street. Plus, the homes on Abbott Avenue are genuinely interesting. There's not much uniformity. Especially when architect Ron Wommack is involved. Take 4442 Abbott — it's full of his signatures. Read more at papercitymag.com/abbott-avenue. Forget Mr. Right; the quest for the most righteous cup may mean more. This is a spot that teaches any self-professed coffee snob that there's still plenty to learn. There are some familiar touches, but much of the spot has been reimagined. You can still get classic Tex-Mex dishes and $2 margaritas on Tuesdays, but newly appointed chef Jeffrey Kollinger and operating partner Robert Hall (in charge of drinks) have added their own spin. Primo's now has 17 options on its cocktail menu, and the Uptown Guacamole comes with blue cheese. Maybe some classics can be improved. Read more at papercitymag.com/primos.
