Hitz — an award- winning chef, speaker, columnist, event designer, and contributing editor at House Beautiful and Town & Country — was joined by communications guru Chesie Breen for an engaging talk that was more like a conversation between old friends. So amid the champagne toasting, mixing, and mingling of Texas Design Week Dallas, designers rolled up their sleeves for a continuing-education course hosted by Bosch Group at Capital Distributing Showroom. Led by Bosch's Suly Weissman, "Kitchen Design with Cooking in Mind" covered every element involved in creating a beautiful — and highly functional — kitchen. Pro tip: Recessed lighting creates a warm and inviting space, highlights luxurious details such as hand- painted tile and custom cabinetry, and can be turned up to operating-room brightness to illuminate your workstation.
