91 A SOUTHERN SUPPER AT THE MANSION I n one of the most glamorous October nights of Texas Design Week Dallas — and there were many — the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek's Tracy Fitz devised a night of blue and white in the private Sheppard King dining room to honor Texas Design Week speakers in from NYC and L.A. as well as friends of TXDW. Todd Events trailed chinoiserie-painted white pump- kins down the single long table set for 30, and each place setting was a study in blue-on-blue pattern. It was Thursday night, and four days of back-to-back salon talks, book signings and cocktails had ensued. We needed comfort. Thus, the night was a chic Southern Supper, where chef Sebastien Archambault plied us with crab cakes, Southern fried chicken, and bourbon ice cream with candied pecans.
