The storied retailer has been by our side since the beginning, having thrown parties to launch our Houston magazine 25 years ago, our Dallas entrée 21 years ago, and, last fall, our fi rst foray into Fort Worth. Legions of new and old Fort Worth friends turned out at Neiman Marcus at The Shops at Clearfork to raise a glass to our fi rst issue of PaperCity Fort Worth. Naturally, fashion was on everyone's mind, and guests pulled out their chicest frocks and most dashing haberdashery. Our favorite outfi t award goes to Michelle Marlow, who was luminescent in Co iridescent shorts and an architectural top. Alongside the PaperCity team welcoming guests were Neiman Marcus Fort Worth general manager Scott Mitchell and PR guru Allie Turney, who surprised us by enlarging PaperCity tenfold and placing massive copies of the issue in the NM windows, with a cheeky mannequin reading the 7-foot-tall book. The evening before the big bash, Ben Berg of B&B Butchers & Restaurant opened The Shops at Clearfork eatery for a private dinner hosted by PaperCity Fort Worth associate publisher Samantha Olguin and former editor in chief Christina Geyer. Thirty pillars of the Fort Worth community gathered around three long banquet-style tables for an evening of sparkling wine and celebratory conversation. Among the Who's Who of Fort Worth were Leigh Bornitz, Martha and Paxton Motheral, Cami and John Goff, Mimi and Townes Clemons, Regan and W.A. Landreth, Allie and Walker Turney, Shelby and Travis Goff, Joe Minton and Kevin Peavy, Olivia and Jeff Kearney, Janis and Sam Brous, and Gail and Bill Landreth. Sharing the excitement at our launch party with Neiman's were Kendall Kostohry, her mom Kris Karr, Susan Nix, Suzi Woo, Kelsey Patterson, Rob Schumacher, Wade Wilson, Olivia Kearney, artist Nancy Lamb, Josh Needleman, Regan Landreth, Colleen Blair, Christy Dunaway Smith, Jenny Pace Dupree, Kendal Smith-Lake, Eric Prokesh, Becca Quisenberry, Olivia Potts, Crawford Edwards, Seehum Isa, Bhavani Garraway, Terron Sweat, Allie Nikolasian, Angie Bulaich, Jessica Brandup, and Atlee Phillips.
