L'ŒUF, WITH A SIDE OF SURREALISM INJECTION IS LINGERIE BRINGING PRACTICAL BACK? S ex appeal has never gone out of style — nor should it. While iconic brands like La Perla do everything in their power to help you look your best, they don't always go out of their way to make it easy. Until now. Presenting washable silk lingerie. Designed by creative director Alessandra Bertuzzi, the Dream Catcher collection of lingerie and nightwear is inspired by vintage elegance and everyday luxury. Drawing inspiration from the simplistic elegance of the '70s, the collection features a finishing process that allows the silk to be machine-washed without shrinking or losing its shine. It's available in three colors: black, off-white, and iceberg blue. Sexy. And convenient. Who knew? The new La Perla boutique opens in Highland Park Village in July. ART F or artisanal French heritage brand Cire Trudon, designer Dimitri Smilenko created L'Œuf, a decorative vessel that diffuses Trudon fragrances. Julien Pruvost, global creative director of Cire Trudon, tells PaperCity: "The debut of L'Œuf represents 'made in France' values with a modern twist. The shape is inspired by the 17th-century ornamented ostrich egg, then reinterpreted as a fragrance diffuser to scent your home. L'Œuf is a simple evocation of nature, handcrafted with ceramic bisque and turned wood." Cire Trudon L'Œuf $350, at Grange Hall. F endi's California Sky Collection, designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, includes a collaboration with L.A. artist Joshua Vides. Best known for his black-and-white marker-style artwork, Vides injects an artful, cartoon-like element into the urban casual collection for men, women, and children, ranging from windbreakers and embossed cycling shorts to accessories. The PreFall 2020 collection is California casual meets high art — just the ticket as we move into the steamy Texas summer. fendi.com.
