Dallas Contemporary had reached out to Holmes and his Library Street gallery to set up the exhibit, which Holmes sees as a way to expand upon the ideas behind the banner series, "They're Going to Kill Me." In a release, he calls the exhibit "an opportunity to discuss how support of the black community and fighting racism and police brutality from inside all institutions — political and social, art, and otherwise — is crucial for lasting change … Dallas is my home, and I know we can do better together." The free programming includes remote panels alongside resources to inspire action against systemic racism, encouraging all to enact change by signing petitions and donating to organizations such as the Official George Floyd Memorial Fund, I Run With Maud, Justice for Breonna Taylor, Campaign Zero, and Reclaim the Block. dallascontemporary. org.
