PAPERCITY T h e e n t r y s i t e i s open for the 2021 Houston PaperCity Design Awards, which recognizes outstanding interior design; interior architecture; retail, restaurant, and gallery design; landscape design; historical preservation; and furniture, product, and textile design, along with other categories. The PaperCity Design Awards is open to all Houston-area interior designers, architects, landscape designers, and product and textile designers, regardless of professional affiliation. All are encouraged to enter projects across 20 categories. The awards ceremony to announce the winning entries is Thursday, May 20, at the Sarofim House, sponsored by New Orleans Auction Galleries. Winning entries will be published in the October 2021 PaperCity Decoration + Art issue, circulation 50,000, and online at papercitymag. com, with 2.5 million unique monthly visitors and 5.5 million monthly page views. TEXAS DESIGN WEEK HOUSTON IS SCHEDULED A fter 15 years o f t a m i n g t h e t r e s s e s o f H o u s t o n 's leading ladies from his perch in Uptown Park, Ceron packed his tools of the trade and moved to an exquisite new location at Kirby Grove. With glass walls providing an overlook to Levy Park's expanse of greenery and oaks, the new salon has an ambience like no other. Droese Raney Architecture of Dallas and Ceron's husband, designer Todd Fiscus, created a light, bright salon with 18 socially distanced stations and a skincare specialist. "Having the park is so fun," Ceron says. "It's like you're in another city. Who has a park. Nobody. I think it's such a new look for a salon." The maestro of manes divides his time between three salons: the new Kirby Grove location, a Memorial Green salon, and Dallas' Highland Park Village salon.
