BLOSSOM COLLECTION C ollecting still-life painting was all the rage in Northern European society back in the day — aka the golden decades of the 17th century. Now contemporary photography has rediscovered the subject, building on notions of beauty and the fleeting passage of time espoused by their Flemish forebears while often adding wit and minimalism to the image- making. Foto Relevance focuses on four current photographers who take on the still life in "Fabled Flora." Texas artists Julia McLaurin and Robert Langham III join two talents based in rural Pennsylvania: Russian-born Yelena Strokin and Claire Rosen.
