A mong Round Top's signature bashes are PaperCity's biannual fêtes that mark the finales for the Fall and Spring Antiques Shows. Last fall, the soirée took on a fresh spin with Benjamin Moore stepping up as a Halles sponsor, and a signature event was born, one that celebrated the launch of the heritage American paint brand's 2022 Color of the Year. The night also inaugurated a Benjamin Moore Texas collection: The Colors of Round Top, selected by Houston designer Mary Lambrakos of Lambrakos Studio. Nature-inspired Benjamin Moore October Mist 1495 and other colors lifted from the environs of Round Top were toasted by a crowd of 300- some Round Top regulars, show shoppers, and designers. Coming forward to create the lounge areas for the VIP Pavilion were Cisco Home furnishings. Big hits of the night were the public art displays: the live-plant-and- sustainable-furniture installation Nature by CAMH-exhibited Preston Gaines and the Chromatic Distraction I light sculpture by Patricio Marin and Greg Goodman.
