The Halles: WHAT'S ON TAP T h e F a l l 2 0 2 2 Antiques & Design Show sees the f o u r t h i t e r a t i o n of the PaperCity and Round Top Publishers event space and design, art, fashion, and foodie Mecca take off, with its seven Halles, main pavilion, and two (new) tented spaces, all filled with unique purveyors and curated happenings. Through it all, The Halles keeps the vibe cool with its inaugural Presenting Sponsor: Big Ass Fans. Watch for Big Ass Fans' collection of designer- fave fans deployed throughout the main pavilion and individual halles, including the sleek models Haiku, es6, Essence, AirEye, and Cool- Space systems. Stepping up as an Underwriting Sponsor, JennAir unveils The Halles Food Lab by JennAir installed in The Halles' main pavilion. Watch for the state-of-the-art test kitchen's striking countertops, courtesy Thorntree, with design concept by noted Dallas designer Chad Dorsey. Here's a guide to the season's must-shop Halles' stops: In Halle 1, check out The Neutral Nest for reclaimed wood frames and mirrors. Head to Halle 2 for Mill Collective's tribute to small-batch American makers of furniture, lighting, and collectible objects. Also holding court in Halle 2 are returning bijoux retailers Heather Benjamin for nomadic jewelry and Covet Aspen's modern jewelry. In Halle 3, beeline first to Fischer & Wieser's Texana food emporium, one that dates back nearly a century to the Fredericksburg-founded farmstead's original peach orchard. This fall, the beloved purveyor sells wine by the glass and bottle at Halle 3, where you'll discover a delightful outdoor seating area adjoining Amadi Carpets. Speaking of which, this third-generation carpet company was founded in Afghanistan, where it currently employs at many as 200 women hand-looming its artisanal carpets. In dialogue with the texture and materiality of Amadi Carpets' natural fibers are Sabine Maes Art's canvases, textiles, and sheepskins. The Belgian-based painter is the ideal calling card for Round Top, with her reverence for Mother Earth. Halle 4 welcomes its returning anchor, design haven M. Naeve. Founder Margaret Naeve is known for her unerring eye; extraordinary, understated interiors that whisper with importance; and her shop brimming with a collection of mid-century furniture along with elevated designs by significant contemporary creators. Another celebrated denizen of design, Carol Piper Rugs, exhibits at Halle 4, showcasing antique, vintage, and new rugs, textiles, and pillows.
