Herrera Girls L e i g h A n n e Clark and Bela Cooley, 2023 Dallas Museum o f A r t 's A r t Ball co-chairs, summoned a group of girls for an intimate dinner with Carolina Herrera creative director Wes Gordon at Park House. Well, all girls save for me, Brian Bolke, Reed Robertson, and, of course, Wes. If you're unfamiliar with Wes, he's the dashing Atlanta-reared designer with a boyish smile who studied at Central Saint Martins in London and assumed his post at Herrera in 2018. He has since garnered a cult-like following of women who covet his frocks — both delicate day dresses and soigné gowns. Two long tables were gorgeously set, and I found myself at one end with many dear friends. In my little corner of that universe, I was seated with Joyce Goss, Ann Hobson, Suzanne Droese, Jennifer Eagle, Elaine Agather, and Cindy Rachofsky. It was great having a catch-up with Joyce and hearing of her recently announced new post as regional director for Phillips auction house. Apparently, she's darting from Dallas to New York City and back and loving every minute of her new endeavor. As dinner neared the end, co-chairs Leigh Anne and Bela shared news about the upcoming Art Ball. Let's Hear it for the By Billy Fong. Photography Afritina Coker.
