S oft and sensuous with a gorgeous profile, Bottega Veneta's latest bag is an instant classic. The Andiamo — "Let's go!" in Italian — is creative director Matthieu Blazy's latest bag for the heritage Italian fashion house. Designed under the mantra "Craft in motion," the bag is a walking, talking embodiment of house codes. Made from paper calf leather using Bottega's classic intrecciato technique, it's available in small, medium, and large sizes. This timeless beauty is as practical as it is beautiful. Andiamo allows you to wear it over the shoulder or by hand, has an extra-wide opening for easy access and a large interior pocket to store goodies. Some bags you date; this bag you marry — or at the very least put in your regular rotation. As part of the Summer 2023 collection, Andiamo is available in Glacier (light teal), Fondant (dark brown), Barolo (rich maroon), Travertine ( b e i g e g re e n ) , Inkwell (dark blue), Ice Cream (pale yellow) and White. $4,100 to $7,900, at the Bottega Veneta b o u t i q u e , bottegaveneta. com. BURBERRY LAUNCHES REBRAND UNDER NEW DIRECTOR DANIEL LEE B urberry is returning to its roots to move forward. The iconic British brand, famed for tartan-check patterns, is undergoing a bit of a change. Behind this change i s n e w l y s e l e c t e d wunderkind designer Daniel Lee, fresh off massive success at Bottega Veneta, who replaces Riccardo Tischi as Burberry's creative officer. The first move: a return to the archives. Described by the brand as Lee's "first creative expression," the house has launched a new campaign and logo. Dating back to 1901, the "new" logo features a knight in full regalia riding gallantly, we must assume, to conquer the fashion world while carrying a banner marked Prorsum (Latin for forwards). The mission is clear: Burberry is ready to make waves. With a campaign shot by London-born filmmaker Tyrone Lebon at iconic London locations including Trafalgar Square and Albert Bridge, the battle has begun. Keep an eye on Lee and the brand for more to come. FORWARD! BOTTEGA VENETA DALLAS NORTHPARK GETS A MAKEOVER ANDIAMO! W ith sales of luxury goods continuing to remain strong, a number of brands have invested in an enhanced in-store experience — including Bottega Veneta, which has reopened its Dallas Northpark location after an extensive remodel. The newly launched boutique gets a full makeover and a palette inspired by the materials and colors of the Veneto region. Walnut paneling is accented with polished brass, and Palazzo Moreli terracotta tiles that have been color-glazed and sealed with a resin coating. Details such as solid hand-forged brass handles offer a nod to the house's Sardine bag, while plush Merino wool carpeting interplays with Cassina chairs covered in Bottega Veneta leather. Categories include men's and women's ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes, and, of course, leather goods. Bottega Veneta, 8687 N. Central Expressway in NorthPark Center, bottegaveneta.com.
