PHOTOGRAPHED AT MUSEO ANAHUACALLI, MEXICO CITY, AND INSPIRED BY ARTIST FRIDA KAHLO. F rida Kahlo and Diego Rivera's fascination with Mex- ico's pre-Columbian heritage led to the creation of a pyramid-like structure, a temple of art designed by Rivera (and finished by architect Juan O'Gorman upon Rivera's death). Begun in 1941 and completed in 1964, Museo Anahuacalli is surrounded by en- demic nature, volcanic rock, and vegetation, and is a monumental space and showcase for both Rivera's art and his collection of pre-Columbian art.
