Nary an Edra settee nor Minotti chair was empty when a crowd of nearly 200 flocked to the first book signing of Making Houston Modern: The Life and Architecture of Howard Barnstone. The coming-out party for the Barnstone volume — edited by architectural authorities Barrie Scardino Bradley, Stephen Fox, and Michelangelo Sabatino — featured an illuminating talk by the authors, followed by a book signing.
