12 of Ponti's original plates from the Villa Planchart Segnaposto collection in partnership with Ginori 1735. • Bottega Veneta partnered with Cassina and Fondation Le Corbusier to present On the Rocks, a large-scale installation at Palazzo San Fedele. Under the creative direction of Matthieu Blazy, the installation focused on the LC14 Tabouret Cabanon, an icon of Le Corbusier design that showcases the excellence of the Cassina carpentry workshop. Custom editions of the LC14 Tabouret included a limited-edition tribute in signature Bottega Veneta leatherwork. The wooden editions highlight a charred-wood technique, based on traditional Japanese methods, that protects the wood while revealing unique patterns of the grain. • The new Hermès home collections were presented in tandem with pieces from the brand's heritage, underscoring that Hermès objects are unaffected by trends. Leather buckets, baskets, and table objects were crafted by highly skilled saddle-leatherworkers. Superb craftsmanship was evident in the new Diapason d'Hermès lounge chair in leather and hammered aluminum — as radical as it is elegant. THE INTELLECTUALS • Prada Frames, the annual symposium held alongside Salone del Mobile, returned for its third year. This edition, titled Being Home, explored the relationship between the natural environment and design to address contemporary challenges. Curated by design studio Formafantasma and held at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum in Milan, discussions focused on different aspects of the home as a dynamic space. • Miu Miu hosted its inaugural Literary Club, Writing Life, which explored the work of writers Alba De Céspedes and Sibilla Aleramo, alongside conversations, live performances, and entertainment. The Miu Miu Literary Club was one of the most eagerly awaited events of Salone; it also stood out as one of the least typical. The commitment of Miuccia Prada to the empowerment of women's voices, culture, and literacy brought revitalizing energy to Milan, and the event was praised for providing a sanctuary from the chaos. THE LEGEND Giorgio Armani reopened the doors of Palazzo Orsini, the brand's historic headquarters, to present the new Armani/ Casa collection, Echi dal mondo (Echoes from the World). The collection unfolded through the first-floor rooms, each corresponding to one of the geographical areas most referenced by Giorgio Armani: Europe, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, and Morocco. Following a golden ribbon on the floor to the grand staircase, we were immersed in the rooms of the piano nobile, where 18th-century frescoes created the perfect setting.
