IN THE BAG FOR A BIG EVENT. Bradley Agather: MAC Crème Cup lipstick. There is no prettier shade of pink. I buy it in bulk because I live in fear they'll discontinue it. Zoe Bonnette: Cash to tip the bartenders [If you're new to town, definitely heed this advice. We always tip our event bartenders. — BF]. Emergency safety pins for wardrobe malfunctions — I've learned that lesson the hard way. Michelle Nussbaumer: An eyebrow pencil, YSL red lipstick, and a bag of cherry sours. Cindy Rachofsky: Long-wearing lipstick — and, this year at TWO x TWO, loads of tissues. [Sadly, it's the last year for this beloved event. Expect a glorious swan song. — BF] Reed Robertson: My LinkedIn profile does say I'm a stylist, so I better answer safety pins and Hollywood tape. Kit Sawers: Since I often find myself at the podium at events, reading glasses so I can read the auction item descriptions, dinner menu, and list of sponsors. Robert Weatherly: Always carry Altoids. SPOT TO EAT AFTER AN EVENT IF THE FOOD WAS A YAWN. SPOT FOR TENNIS AND PICKLEBALL. Evan Meagher: Al Biernat's, Café Pacific, or Park House. Reed Robertson: Whataburger. Kit Sawers: To keep the party going, Inwood Tavern. Jan Showers: Parigi. Robert Weatherly: Park House. Schiaparelli bag at DMA Art Ball 2024. Danielle Hunter, Reed Robertson, Morgan Williams, Kasey Lemkin at DMA Art Ball 2024. FEELING SPORTY Missy Peck: My interpretation of this is the ideal detox workout after a big weekend: Power Vinyasa, taught by Merritt Russ at Ritual One. Mat by the wall to steady myself while I'm slipping and sliding from the sweat pouring down my body. Donald Robertson: The way I learned to deal with Texas heat was to sign up for hot yoga. Ritual One is like the Studio 54 of Bradley Agather: DCC on Thursday afternoons, and I follow it up with a cocktail while I wait for my to-go pizza order. [In case you aren't in the know, DCC is the abbreviation for Dallas Country Club — GYM. Cindy Rachofsky: We play canasta. Next time, please add canasta to the Insider's List. [Who knew — but now, well noted, Miz Rachofsky. — BF] We play at my house with many libations and unhealthy snacks. It's our guilty pleasure. Reed Robertson: Park House for the people-watching that comes with playing the Jong. And order French fries and champagne, of course. SPOT TO PLAY MAHJONG. HIGHLAND PARK VILLAGE PARKING. MISCELLANEOUS MUSINGS STAYCATION. Evan Meagher: Most definitely The Joule. It's the perfect combination of glamorous and chic comfort. The art collection is also museum worthy, plus I can take my wife across the street for brunch at Mirador and maybe buy her a new outfit at Forty Five Ten. It's a win-win for any husband. Kit Sawers: Whenever Dallas' power goes out (six days, this last go-around), we decamp to the Cooper Aerobics. Bradley Agather: I love the Mount Vernon area of Highland Park. Two of my very favorite homes are on the 3900 block of Potomac. Evan Meagher: Swiss Avenue, for sure! A taste of old school Dallas with a boulevard flanked by grand homes. Michelle Nussbaumer: Fair Park — the architecture is world class. Jan Showers: Gillon, Potomac, and Overhill. BEST STREET FOR SOME ARCHITECTURE ENVY not the new meaning of those three letters since the premiere of the Netflix series Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. — BF] Kit Sawers: My husband Kemp and I are down for couples pickleball Friday nights at Brook Hollow. We're hard to miss. We're the ones with a frozen screwdriver in our hands. sweating. Packed! You will be the ugliest one there, but it's addicting. Brian Bolke: Befriend the valets. They are nicest guys out there. Maggie Kipp: On busy Saturdays, I always park on Douglas a few blocks south, but the walking and window-shopping is such a bonus. Cindy Rachofsky: Really, you are going to go there? No comment. [Leave it to Cindy to give us a final response that's a drop-the- mic moment. — BF] Jan Showers: Café Pacific/The Honor Bar valet. Shelle Sills: Either valet or park at the home of my dear friend Susan Palma, who lives around the corner, and walk! [I guess we all need to meet Susan Palma. — BF] TAMYTHA CAMERON 130
