PaperCity mingles man-to-man with a pack of style-making guests at these four handsome fêtes. PHOTOGRAPHY DANA DRIENSKY, DANIEL DRIENSKY. Man of the Hour: DAVID YURMAN Blair Lindsey at Tiffany & Co. Share a quiet moment with jewelry designer David Yurman? An impossible feat. We managed to snag a few seconds, though, at the Bar at the Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek before making tracks later that evening to a party in his honor at Yurman's NorthPark Center boutique. Of all the points covered — Yurman's obsession with riding, Carine Roitfeld and Crazy by singer Gnarls Barkley, to name a few — Texas women were what really got him talking. "Dallas is a whistle stop for us," he explained. "The women here only own the best of the best." This proved true as we proceeded north to the in-store soirée, Chairman which benefitted the Dallas Symphony Daffan Nettle at Tutu Chic Chairman Orchestra League. Hoards of bestKristi Hoyl dressed types — at Tutu Chic Holly Roberts, Angie Milton, Robin Green, and store manager Kristin Spear — were all picking their favorite gems from the coveted Richard collection Lambertson at Tiffany & Co. of baubles. John Truex Yurman, at Tiffany & Co. of course, Heather Pujats offered at Tiffany & Co. sage shopping advice all night long. Rand Mason at Tiffany & Co. The Georgia-bred expert on all things related to Dixieland cooking, gardening, design, architecture and more was the main attraction at the home of Caren Kline for a book signing of his new tome, A Time to Plant: Southern-Style Garden Living. And who better to attend a party of such domestic perfection than the well-bred friends of the Klines. They turned out in spades, including Di Johnston, Jill Rowlett, Kim Whitman, Margaret Crow, and April Bright. Peter Zweifel, Jeanne Cassidy, Bruce & Carol Calder at Tiffany & Co. Josie McCarthy, Kathy Gudmundsson, Ola Fojtasek at A Time to Plant Fashion designer Naeem Khan so loved bringing his spring collection to last year's Tutu Chic Fashion Show and Luncheon that he decided to jet in again, along with his most recent collection, for a second appearance at this year's Texas Ballet Theater fundraiser. "The combination of the clothes, the dancers and the two arts meeting is so magical," he said after the TBT dancers took final bows for their fashion show turned dance performance on the Winspear Opera House stage. After the remarkable pirouettes and grand jetés, Tutu Chic chairmen Daffan Nettle, Kristi Hoyl, Alicia Wood, and Paige Slates led the pack (TBT's Tim O'Keefe, Pat McEvoy, Lisa Ogle, Diane Brierley, Doris Jacobs, Nancy Gopez, and Amy Turner) to lunch in the glassy Winspear lobby. But the encore was left to Stanley Korshak owner Crawford Brock, who invited everyone for post-luncheon shopping at his Crescent Court emporium. It was an en pointe afternoon, to be sure. This time, Texas Ballet Theater and its patrons were treated to a private reception with the charming twosome as they debuted the latest from their Tiffany Leather Collection. As always, the designers were overwhelmingly lovable — helping the likes of TBT's Jeanne Cassidy and guests Carol Riddick and Gina Betts try a luxurious new tote or Tiffany-blue evening bag on for size.
