n the days leading up to BubblyQ, members of Young Texans
Against Cancer were certainly the most popular people in
town. As rumors began spinning about the event being
sold out, the phones of BubblyQ chairmen (chef chair Dean
Fearing, party chair Ashley Allen) and top-tier YTAC
members (Catharine Flagg, Garrett Holloway, Daniella
Giglio, Tara Cash, et al.) rang off the hook with requests
for last-minute ticket purchases. Even the PaperCity lines buzzed
about BubblyQ, with voices on the other end asking if we, the
party's media sponsor, had access to any tickets. "Last night, a table
of five told me they'd do anything to get in," divulged Fearing. "I
had to laugh and tell them that's just not how it works." As for
those lucky 450 Dallasites who succeeded in getting their hands
on a ticket to BubblyQ, it was a Thursday-night bash that few
will forget. The scene at Fearing's restaurant at
The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, was a vibrant mash
of culinary delights from 12 top chefs such
as Abraham Salum, Jim Severson and
Nick Badovinus; a silent auction fit for
the deep-pocketed supporters in
attendance; and a picture-perfect

array of pretty young things — a

champagne-buzzed set that partied

late at The Ritz, well past BubblyQ's

next year's event, reserve VIP
admission, stat.
