This definitely rings true for Ylang 23 owners Charles and Joanne Teichman, who celebrated the opening of a sumptuous new bauble boutique at The Plaza at Preston Center with 100 of their closest and dearest. Experts of exquisite taste, the Teichmans first opened their precious jewel emporium in 1985 in Galleria Dallas and recently made the decision to move closer to their cadre of Park Cities clients. Special guests included designers Stephanie Wynne and Jenny Klatt of Jemma Wynne; David Rees and Ron Anderson of Ten Thousand Things; Nak Armstrong; Andrea Fohrman; Catherine Michiels; Elizabeth Kaupas and Whitney Avoyer, representing Irene Neuwirth; and Arman Sarkisyan of Arman. As Lynn McBee, Joyce Goss, and Kimberly Schlegel Whitman walked the red-carpet entry, mother and daughter duo Muffin and Ellie Lemak checked out the goodies galore. Baubles, bracelets and brooches twinkled as guests shopped, bopped to the tunes of DJ Lucy Wrubel, and devoured purple cupcakes amidst photo-booth escapades. Always clever, the Teichmans created #TheNextNow as the theme of the night.
