GEORGE R. BROWN CONVENTION CENTER SEPTEMBER 4–7, 2014 OPENING NIGHT PREVIEW BENEFITING PARISDALLAS DEEP IN THE HEART OF CHAPEAUX DE COWBOY! Indiens d'Amérique! Plumes! Arc et flèches! Rouge à lèvres balles! Vive les Métiers d'Art, Paris- Dallas! Seven months after the Chanel-clad rodeo infiltrated Dallas' Fair Park, the collection has finally arrived. We've been counting the days, hours and minutes until we could get our hands on the pre-fall Wild West-inspired confections unveiled that historic night. Flashback: Karl Lagerfeld corralled 900 of the fashion industry's elite and deposited them in a 1950s-inspired drive-in movie theater with 74 pristine vintage convertibles, followed by a rodeo backdrop of 95 looks that walked the straw-covered runway. In this collection, Lagerfeld shows us how the West was won à la Française with a boxier take on the classic Chanel suit, prairie blouses, chunky knits, head- dresses, lipstick ammo, Native American prints, stars, stripes, pearls, bolos, barrel clutches and boots. Just a few of our favorite things. Prices upon request, at the Chanel boutique. Megan Pruitt Winder
