THE BRILLIANTLY SHINING LOUISE EISEMAN, her son Richard, and his wife Betsy welcomed friends, family and loyal customers to the grand reopening of Eiseman Jewels. The theme de la fête, which celebrated the store's 50-year anniversary, was "Dine, Dance, Dress to Dazzle" — and dazzle they did. Guests walked a cobalt-blue carpet alongside a wall of archival photos showcasing the history of the jewelry empire. Todd Events transformed the atrium into a velvety blue space where candles floated throughout and bouquets of lilies and orchids cascaded over crystal vases. The co-hosts for the golden anniversary, NorthPark Center owner Nancy Nasher and husband David Haemisegger, greeted more than 500 guests, along with Robyn Conlon, chairman of the 2014 Crystal Charity Ball — its charities receiving a percentage of sales for the evening. Celebrants eyed the sparkling stones, jewels and timepieces (including the sumptuous new Rolex boutique), others chatted about the packed fall roster of social events, and sampled Ahi tuna, black- pepper-crusted lamb loin and sturgeon caviar from Cassandra Fine Catering. True gems: Ann and Bob Dyer, Bernadette Schaeffler, Jill Tananbaum, Pete and Caren Kline, Joe and Isabell Haggar, Tarryn France, David Cash, Pete and Tanya Foster, and Steven and June McDonald. Each year, the DMA Junior Associates group hosts the festive event, with proceeds earmarked for the museum's teen programs. An entrance pathway flanked by streamers led guests into the garden, where lights twinkled in the trees and inflatable balls and unicorns floated in the reflection pool — all compliments of creative event designer Tom Addis. Co- chairs Andrea and Heath Cheek and Nina and Decker Sachse greeted more than 400 patrons, who, with prickly pear martinis in hand, watched art happen as three local artists — Jeff Skele Sheely, Hatziel Flores, and Aaron Vasquez — transformed blank canvases into original works of art throughout the evening. Hearting art: Michael and Rachel Osburn, Lisa Hewitt, Brian Tibbs, Danielle Olson, Kate Landrum, and Emily Plagens. BY JANE ROZELLE. PHOTOGRAPHY KRISTINA BOWMAN, LARA BIERNER, BRUNO. Gala chairs Jan Miller and Jeffrey Rich welcomed notables — including one very special guest, the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson — to The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. The elegant soirée included a performance packed with panache, thanks to music director Jaap van Zweden and world-renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. After the show, the festivities continued with a Space Odyssey-themed after-party hosted by Anna-Sophia van Zweden and Soluna: International Music & Arts Festival. Lucy Wrubel channeled the theme with a starry dress and toy-rocket-ship headpiece, while the stylish crowd sipped Park Place Peartinis and danced the night away on an LED-lit floor. Symphony supporters: honorary chairs Margot and Ross Perot, Mike and Micki Rawlings; honorary media chairs Scott and Carole Murray; and guests John and Jennifer Eagle, Joe Hubach, Colleen O'Connor, Jennifer and Coley Clark, David and Jeri Kleiman, Jan Miller, Kary Brittingham, Gillian Breidenbach, and Don and Barbara Daseke.
