in this ISSUE NOVEMBER 2014 | STYLE | FASHION | SOCIAL 4, 6, 8 POP. CULTURE. GOSSIP. M ario Testino came, conquered and departed Dallas, leaving behind a slew of gushing admirers — yours truly included (page 10)! From one man to many, this issue has a strong focus on men, both near and far: French conceptual artist Loris Gréaud arrives at the Dallas Contemporary in January — unbeknownst to most of the country, 'tis quite the coup! Monsieur Gréaud, an international genius, debuts his first stateside exhibition in Dallas, following success at Palais de Tokyo in Paris and the Venice Biennale. He is also the only artist to show simultaneously at the Louvre Museum and Centre de Pompidou. Now, if that doesn't whet your artful appetite, then enjoy our exclusive story, "Coup d'Etat Loris Gréaud." Read our chats with fashion designer Greg Lauren and footwear designer Paul Andrew. A little closer to home, Dallas entrepreneur Kevin Lavelle of Mizzen+Main divulges details on building his unique menswear label, and Grange Hall's owners, Rajan Patel and Jeffrey Lee, invite us to explore their recent renovation. In need of some home comforts? The owners of Proof + Pantry restaurant, Michael Martensen and Sal Jafar II, can certainly fix that. And, if you're designing your abode, take inspiration from the homes of interior designers Brant McFarlain, Joshua Rice, and Rob Dailey. Peruse our fashion story "Mind Games" and read about these creative duos: Chad Solomon and Christy Pope of The Joule's recently opened bar and lounge Midnight Rambler, and foodie/art darlings Robyn and Michael Siegel of Green House Market, who share both their home and business inspirations. The first three weeks of November are not for the faint-hearted. Social season continues in full effect, with too many parties, galas et. al, to mention, so visit our social calendar for the full scoop, on page 14. But, our biggest news for November is the relaunch of papercitymag.com. We've been busily curating a site that's as stylish as our print pages, yet unique as our brand integrity. Join Kate Stukenberg, executive editor of fashion and digital, and the web team for our launch mid-month (#WhereStyleClicks).
