T he first event of the year I attended was truly an elegant affair: the black-tie Silver Supper benefitting the Dallas Museum of Art Decorative Arts Program, hosted by the lovely Lela Rose and Carrie Becker. This simply exquisite affair was the perfect introduction to 2015, the DMA aglow with supporters basking in the historical delight of 18th- and 19th- century decorative silverware as the table centerpiece. From decorative arts to fashion, make note: Galleria Dallas will shake up the February calendar by hosting Fashion Group International of Dallas' annual Rising Star Awards Gala Thursday, February 26; read our "Hot Tickets" coverage for more details. Dare I mention it — this St. Valentine's Day, the nation will be blushing 50 shades with the release of the rather naughty yet highly anticipated movie Fifty Shades of Grey. So, with love in the air this amorous month, we focus on weddings with our Bridal Issue. Enjoy the marital festivities of Brian Bolke and Faisal Halum, who celebrated their wedding vows with a reception of glamorous proportions. Sweet Lauren Scruggs, who made national headlines after her accident three years ago, also shares nuptial notes with us on her recent wedding to E! reporter Jason Kennedy. Consider these PaperCity-sponsored events this month … Friday, February 6, Charlotte Jones Anderson is busy — both as keynote speaker (along with her father, Jerry Jones) at the Go Red For Women Luncheon at the Omni Dallas hotel, and later that evening as co-chair (alongside Troy Aikman) of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas' 90th Anniversary celebration, Unite. Forever. Gala., at the AT&T Stadium, headlined by Blake Shelton and Usher. Actor Owen Wilson is in Dallas Saturday, February 21, to honor his father at the Living with Bob: A Salute to Robert Wilson gala at The Joule Hotel, benefitting the Aging Mind Foundation and co- chaired by Laree Hulshoff, Barbara Daseke and Barbara Buzzell. NorthPark Center just got sexier. British luxury lingerie import Agent Provocateur, whose flagship boutique holds court on Madison Avenue, opens its first Texas location February 9, nestled in a 1,878-square-foot boudoir-inspired space on the first floor between Coach and Elie Tahari. The boundary-pushing brand was co-founded in 1994 by Serena Rees and Joe Corré. The latter has a rock 'n' roll pedigree: He's the son of Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren and renowned British designer Dame Vivienne Westwood, both known for creating the punk era. Inside the store, plush gray and black lace carpets give way to pink and black displays showcasing the brand's collections, with decor channeling the 1970s for a bold, playful touch. The sales staff, well versed in the craftsmanship and tailoring synonymous with Agent Provocateur, wear bright pink housecoats designed by Westwood. Just in time for Valentine's Day, shop classic undergarments, bridal, swim, hosiery and accessories crafted from luxe European fabrics, Leavers and French Chantilly lace and Chinese silk. Most definitely cheeky. NorthPark Center, no phone number at press time, agentprovocateur.com. Linden Wilson Secret TICKLED PINK Dallas holds a special place in Elaine Turner's heart: Before opening her flagship store in her hometown of Houston, the designer worked her first fashion job in Dallas. Coming full circle, she has now opened her ninth boutique (on the heels of her Southlake Town Square opening last October) at The Shops of Legacy in Plano. Behind the glossy pink doors, you'll find Turner's eponymous collection of handbags, shoes, apparel, jewelry and accessories. We love the bamboo floors, cowhide rugs and raffia-wrapped walls, plus the custom jewelry vignette with chic vanity. Philanthropic efforts are always at the forefront of this designer's mind, so look for her Plano boutique to host a plethora of fun cocktail soirées and fund-raisers in the near future. 5700 Legacy Dr., Plano, 972.608.9989, elaineturner.com. Linden Wilson T he swoon-worthy bridal salon at Eiseman Jewels received a marvelous makeover prior to its 50th anniversary last year.
