GOLDEN GLOVES Ushio Shinohara and fellow artist/headliner Noriko Shinohara (his wife of 40 years) were guests of honor at a private unveiling of their latest work at Kirk Hopper Fine Art. The world-renowned Neo-Dadaist, who's best known for taking boxing gloves covered in paint to a canvas, has shared his talent with the world for more than 50 years; his partner is acclaimed for her lyrical text paintings, which also pack a punch. PaperCity co-hosted the evening, which toasted the exhibition opening and gave art admirers a once-in-a- lifetime treat: watching Ushio conduct a live boxing performance for the intimate crowd. In awe: Darcy Neal, Christopher Matson, Sofia Wong, Andrea and Erik Tosten, Sean Newell, and Ali Rapp. A RESOURCEFUL CAMRON Matt Camron Rugs founder Matt Esfahani and Interior Resource's Jack Green invited friends and clients to celebrate the debut of Matt Camron Rugs and Tapestries located within Interior Resources showroom. Esfahani was joined by his daughters (and colleagues in the biz) Sarah Tringhese and Elizabeth Esfahani, as well as team members Dara Mersky and Paige Sowden. Tapestries flanked the walls of the newly minted space, ranging from antique to Moroccan, flat weave and Tibetan, each adding an extra pop to an already bright evening. RONALD GOES RECKLESS Members of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas' Young Friends group found themselves cowboy boot- clad and ready for this year's fund-raiser, A Night with Reckless Kelly. Chairs Lizzie Duplantis, Margretta Wikert, and Katie Crow invited fellow members to the Foundry at Chicken Scratch, where more than 300 mingled al fresco, dined on cowboy fare - mac-and-cheese balls, fried chicken and tamales, bid on silent-auction items ranging from sports gear and concert tickets to vacation and staycation packages before toe-tapping to Austin-based country and western band, Reckless Kelly. MAGIC IN THE MOONLIGHT Trinity Groves was the hot spot as guests made their way out of the cold rain and into event space 3015 for an Under the Moonlight evening celebrating Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. Chairs Cate Ford and Lauren Swann, honorary chairs Tony and Vera Bangs and Cecilie and Ronnie Holman, alongside Jill Cumnock, Ronald McDonald House of Dallas CEO welcomed the jovial crowd to an evening filled with cocktails, a delicious dinner à la chef Sharon Van Meter and a live auction that included tickets to Kenny Chesney's upcoming concert at AT&T Stadium.
