N owhere is the timely allure of gardening more evident than at The Galleria's spectacular springtime garden show known as Primavera. From budding new entries to perennial participants, the event boasted a variety of living vignettes throughout the entire property, each a unique interpretation of spring with lush floral hues and breathtaking design. Visitors were invited to enjoy fashion and beauty demonstrations, fashion shows, live music and to experience the floral transformation by exploring the gardens and installations created by Houston's best-known landscape and floral artists. The Galleria hosted a Primavera Garden Preview party Wednesday, March 25, to have a sneak peek of the lush gardens throughout the mall. Guests strolled through retailers such as De Beers, Saks Fifth Avenue, Trina Turk and John Varvatos, and had the first look at the much anticipated Peli Peli. Lush life-size garden scenes decorate The Galleria with a special thanks to the talented teams of floral designers and landscape artists including A.J.'s Landscape and Design/A.J.'s. Urban Petals, Theme Designs and Sherrariums. Florists 2 Cool Flowers, Fannin Flowers, Parrot's Nest, Lush Flowers, Lilian Walker and Flowers by Monica. While the difficult job of choosing winners for the Primavera 2015 awards is over, there was still one more honor to be given. This year's winner of The Galleria's Peo- ple's Choice Award has been awarded to the florist of 2 Cool Flowers. This year, Primavera added a Youth Division to the Floral Competition. These entries debuted at The Galleria Tuesday, March 31, and remained on display in The Galleria through Sunday, April 5. The theme for this year's Youth Division entries was Spring: A Concert Of Color. The first-place award went to Birds of a Different Feather, the second-place winner was Spring a Concert of Color, and the third-place winner was A Breathe of Fresh Air. Area residents and visitors were invited to catch a glimpse of this season's hottest clothing, accessories and trends amidst the floral displays at The Galleria's Primavera Fashion Show on Saturday, March 28, in the Nordstrom wing. Models strutted down Southern Empire Landscape's runway featuring Gap, The Limited, Tommy Bahama, Kenneth Cole, Armani Exchange, Macy's, Banana Republic, L.K. Bennett, Brooks Brothers, BCBG, Club Monaco and Trina Turk. PRIMAVERA: THE BEAUTY OF SPRING IN FLORAL AND FASHION
