for our mental and physical happiness. They truly call it the Lazy Man's yoga. For me, it's the tightness of wearing 5-inch heels, working out and late-night dance parties. Lash extensions: Ets Studio. If I dye, I usually do it at home using Godefroy Instant Eyebrow Kit, which you can order on Amazon. Blowout: The Dry Bar for blowouts; Brittany Landreth at K Renea Salon for Brazilian Blowouts. Cut and color: Mandy Zuniga at Q Salon. Cosmetic procedures: Makeup for special events by Aubrie Layne at Lucky Cat Beauty. FotoFacials and laser hair removal: Allison Ali at Persona Medical Spa — the whole team there is amazing. The owner, Kathi, is an angel. Jeremy Garcia Managing director, Hermès Houston, aka keeper of the Birkins I enjoy the detoxification of hot yoga … You stretch your muscles and sweat out the toxins. I wake up at 5:30 am to make the 6 am class, and it wakes me up and clears my mind to start my day with energy and clarity. Hot yoga helps to ground me and also makes me a more relaxed person. I know my partner, Brian, appreciates me having an outlet to de-stress! Marcus Sloan and Shannon Hall Co-owners, cutting-edge home and fashion boutique Sloan/Hall Marcus: Since I'm not a spring chick, I do believe in the power of Botox and its fountain-of-youth qualities. I'm a solid customer to the fabulous Vivian Bucay in San Antonio. She is an A-plus fashion gal, so she already understands what you want before you even sit down. She's the bomb! The only other thing I do is get my hair cut. And my favorite place is go for that is Space Hair in Paris. Luckily, since my French is not so good, you don't have to really tell them much — they kind of know already. I seem to always get the same buff Brazilian guy, and he cuts it perfectly — and quickly. But my favorite part is the double application of fairy dust: The two styling powders are the ticket for fine hair like mine: it holds, guides and volumizes. Mais oui! Shannon: Haircut: Besides a great cut, there is never a dull moment at Ceron. It seems like every socialite in town is there, no lie. But ultimately, it's the cut that counts, and Cristian Cardenas is my man. Mani/pedi: Envision Nails. They are so nice, and they aren't afraid of my calloused runner's feet! Massage: Jason Ovalle at Woodhouse Day Spa tears me up (in a good way) once a week. Reflexology: The Foot Spa beside Ranch 99 off I-10. This Asian foot spa is dark and full of lounge chairs populated with everyone from Memorial moms to business types. And what they can do in an hour for only $30 is beyond amazing. The deal of all deals. Teeth whitening: Colgate Optic White. Everyday. Throughout the day. Annsley Popov Owner, Houston-based Presmer exotic accessories Favorite product: Josie Maran Argan Oil. I use it under my eyes in the morning and at night. Beauty secret: It's a treatment they do in Europe, but not so much here, called Carbossi Therapy. It takes away dark circles and fine lines under the eye and also builds up collagen. MD Anderson uses it for burn victims to take away scars. I go to Susanna Schulz at Houston Skin Clinic. She's kind of a hidden little gem. Between that and my anorexic lunches (egg and grapefruit), I'm determined to stay young. Elizabeth Fertitta Co-owner, Longoria Collection Esthetician: I go to Jenny Segal. She is great about getting me in a routine and helping me to think about my skin not just for now, but also for the future. I'm on a preventative retinol regimen that really changed it up for me. It's simple, but I noticed a difference right away. Pedicure: Isle PediSpa is so great. The cucumber pedicure is the ultimate remedy for rough, cracked heels. I leave with baby heels every time. Spray tan: Throwing Copper. It's organic, which I love, and always even and the perfect color. My husband, Zack, is a huge fan of me with a tan. Tonya Riner Makeup artist, beauty blogger for Feminine Collective Facial: I call Sabina at Chrysalis The Skin Whisperer. She's so knowledgeable and kind. She can tell when my chocolate intake has been a bit excessive with one look at me, and then she just takes care of it. Amen. Skin fix: Microdermabrasion with enzyme and vitamin therapy at Chrysalis. Massage: Lea Orozco has a small studio and sees one client at a time. No locker room, no changing into a robe, no avoiding eye contact with other people in robes. Beauty secret: Get Glowing by Beauty for Real — In the Pink is a cream blush/highlighter combo that makes me look rested, even when I'm not. I use the blush high on the apples of my cheeks (to detract from under-eye circles) and the highlighter on my cheekbones, brow bones and the inner corners of my eyes. Spray tan: Sarah at Tan in Ten. She shows up, pops a tent in your bathroom and sprays an organic, golden mist all over you. In 10 minutes. Genius. Hair color: Raphael at Tranquility Day Spa. He does beautiful, natural highlights. Plus, he's gorgeous, hilarious and has a killer French accent. Haircut: Juan at Satori Salon. Big talent, no drama. From the inside out: Guided meditation podcasts from The Chopra Center and Tara Brach. Chris Goins Store director, Tootsies Lash extensions: My own. Don't have a need since I don't wear mascara. Hair: Casey Clay at Shyn Salon — cut and color are always on point. He takes his time and is a master colorist. Facial: Lindsay Platt at Dharma Skin Spa. She has an hour- and-a-half facial that is just sublime. She has a devoted following, so you have to book well in advance. Mani/pedi: Trish and her team at River Oaks Nails on Westheimer. If you're pressed for time, they can get you in and out. Beauty secret: It's a combination of efforts: water, sleep, RMS Beauty Oil, CC cream with 50 SPF. Skin treatments/cosmetic procedures: Dr. Jennifer Segal — she does it all. Always a fabulous experience. Acupuncture/exercise/massage: Rebecca Schmidt for massage and functional training. Brian McKenna for acupuncture at Acupuncture Medical. Tatiana Massey Proprietor of Laboratoria boutique, and arts supporter Eyebrow shaping/waxing: I do it myself. Mani/pedi: River Oaks Nails and Spa, Kai Spa. Hair color: Ceron. Massage: The Motherhood Center, ROCC. Skin treatment: Mesotherapy at Beauty Medica (Dr. Sorkin). Bikini wax: Kai Spa. Nutrition: I'm a big fan of the elimination diet from the book Clean by Dr. Junger. Holistic treatments: Panchakarma at Houston Ayurveda Wellness Center. Acupuncture: Dr. Bing at weMed Wellness Center. eauty SPOTS Four Riverway, Houston, Texas 77056 • 713-871-8181 • mokaraspas.com/houston destination relaxation.
