18 Welcome to change. Welcome to a new beginning. Welcome to the September 2016 issue of PaperCity magazine. We're thrilled to introduce our new perfect-bound format. The decision to make a change from broadsheet to bound was not taken lightly — change involves risk. And evolution. PaperCity launched in January 1994 with the vision to bring to the reader a publication like no other — a smart, sophisticated magazine that's a resource for what is happening regionally in the arts, fashion, and design while incorporating a national perspective. As I begin my 12th year with PaperCity, I've lived almost half the life of this publication. Through the years and each issue, PaperCity's journey has been filled with memories shared with amazing people. Along the way, we've added cities, grown as a company (including the addition of numerous PC babies!) and launched papercitymag.com. But through each new issue and each of these transitions, the memories are special because of the people involved. PaperCity's success over the past 22 years has been possible because of the employees who dedicate their talents to each issue, the advertisers who believe in our vision, and, most importantly, you, the reader.
