Designer DREAM HOUSE WHAT'S NEW AT THE SPRING ANTIQUES FAIR ROUND TOP Roundup Down the LIMESTONE Rabbit Hole y limestone is $13 a square foot, delivered to your door from France," Alisanne Frew says. For three years now, she has been setting up her Alisanne Wonderland shop at Round Top Antiques Fair, thanks to a "wonderful petite woman from Houston whom I met in L'Isle sur la Sorgue," she says. The client asked Frew if she ever did Round Top. The answer was no, but as Frew learned more about Round Top, she knew she had to participate. "I'm forever grateful to that woman. I love the show! I come with my sister, an interior designer from Cleveland, and we have a riot together. It's no surprise she loves the show — Frew can barely keep inventory on the floor at her shop in The Compound. Causing dread to her un-loaders, Frew brings in loads of limestone, authentic farm tables, three-foot-tall hand-thrown pots like those used at Versailles for lemon trees, 18th- century gilt frames and consoles, and restored antique chandeliers. Four such chandeliers will be at the spring show — Frew removed them from the ceilings of small auction houses in Europe and found 24K gilt bronze under the grit.
