D E B U T A N T E P a p e r C i t y Mona Sabzevari and Andrew Sarofim Engaged E lizabeth Anne Carl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Noble Carl III, made her debut at the 62nd anniversary of the International Debutante Ball, December 29, 2016, in the Grand Ballroom of The Pierre Hotel in New York City. Miss Carl attends Texas A&M University, where she is a member of Tri Delta sorority, and devotes many hours to raising funds for St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family, which includes younger daughter, Virginia Anne Carl, belongs to Lakeside Country Club, Allegro, and The Houstonian Club. For her debut, Miss Carl wore Octavia by Vera Wang Couture, an ivory strapless sweetheart gown with hand-gathered tulle bodice. The Houston native is currently spending the semester abroad, studying in her chosen fields of architecture and construction science. Following her course study, she will spend several months interning with a London-based firm. 66 Presented Miss Elizabeth Anne Carl Debuts at International Debutante Ball P a p e r C i t y E N G A G E M E N T M ona Sabzevari and Andrew Sarofim are engaged to be married on Saturday, March 25, in the Sarofim family vacation home in Honolulu. Mona, 29, received her degree in finance and management at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She recently left her position as a logistics specialist in the oil-and-gas industry. She is the daughter of Maryam Sabzevari and the late Saeed Sabzevari. Andrew, 32, is an investment analyst at Fayez Sarofim & Co. and earned his degree in business from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is the son of Fayez Sarofim and the late Linda Hicks Sarofim. As a reflection of Mona's Persian heritage, the couple will have a traditional sofreh aghd wedding. MONIQUE FEIL GITTINGS
