H olocaust Museum Houston celebrated its 20th anniversary with another out- standing installment of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Moral Courage Awards. Eleven hundred humanitarians convened at Hilton Americas–Houston to raise $1.2 million for the museum and its educational programs, which reach across the globe. Chairs included long-time museum supporters Kelli Cohen Fein and Martin Fein alongside Rosalyn and Barry Margolis, with honorary chairs Joan and Stanford Alexand er, Laurie and Milton Boniuk, Punkin and Walter Hecht, Velva G. and H. Fred Levine, Naomi Warren, Sandra Weiner, Evelyn Wisenberg, Lorraine and Ed Wulfe, and Helene and Dror Zadok. The LBJ Awards honored the partisan brothers — Tuvia, Asael, Aron, and Zus Bielski — whose story of courage during the Holocaust inspired the fi lm Defi ance. Asael's daughter Assaela Bielski Weinstein accepted the award on their behalf, presented to her by David Bach, grandson of partisans saved by the Bielski brothers. The Bielskis established a partisan camp during the Holocaust in Belarus that saved the lives of 1,200 Jews. Former news anchor Ted Koppel — the son of German Jews who escaped the Nazis by immigrating to England — delivered the key- note address. The night began with a concert arranged by Richard Brown of the Richard Brown Orchestra featuring Violins of Hope, instruments that belonged to Jewish musicians during the Holocaust that have been restored. GUESTS: Gail Klein, past chair of HMH; the Honorable Tetsuro Amano, consul general of Japan; the Honorable Arthur Schechter, former ambassador to the Bahamas; Ellen Cohen, Alan Rosen, Eitan Levon, the Honorable Anna Holliday, honorary consul general of Denmark, Martine and Ricardo Weitz, who brought in Koppel; and HMH executive director Kelly J.
