D esign lovers flocked to Houston Design Center Fall Market to score the secrets of America's top interior designers, as revealed in textile designer Carl Dellatore's book, Interior Design Master Class: 100 Lessons From America's Finest Designers on the Art of Decoration (Rizzoli). Inspired by Edith Wharton's pioneering guide The Decoration of Houses, Dellatore invited 100 top designers to write essays on floor plans, use of color, importance of scale, and the influence of art on design. Following the keynote at Bunch & Shoemaker showroom, a book signing and lunch ensued. At Fabric House, Toronto- based designer Meredith Heron of HGTV celebrated her fabric and wallpaper collections with JF Fabrics. The day concluded at Thorntree Slate & Marble with PaperCity Art + Design Lab, where architect Shane Cook, interior designer Linda Eyles, McClain Gallery director Erin Dorn, and collector Marc Melcher discussed the challenges of design professionals working with fine- art-collector clients; PaperCity's Catherine D. Anspon served as moderator.
