O ld guard and new alike turned out for the opening of the Wells Design showroom and retail store in Decorative Center Houston. Wells Design principals Jerry Jeanmard and Lauren Hudson opened the showroom to carry furniture inspired by late designer Herbert Wells' original designs, as well as fabric and wallpaper lines he loved. The Wells Design showroom is also a retail storefront stocking tabletop, accessories, and books, and a to-the-trade resource with dozens of exclusive lines. Owners and execs from several represented lines flew in for the opening fête: Jay Johnson and Tom Cashin of Jed Johnson Home, Sam Schinderman of Ann-Morris Lighting, and Michael Devine of Michael Devine Ltd, all in from New York; Laura Gregory of O. Henry House, in from North Carolina; and Helen Cormack of Fleurons d'Helene, Nicole Fabre of Nicole Fabre Designs, and Anna Jeffreys of Anna Jeffreys Design and Decoration, all in from England.
