Top note: The line was founded by Kilian Hennessy, the grandson of the founder of the multinational luxury- goods conglomerate LVMH. Talk about scents with rich heritage ... The same day, dapper gents can get cut and coiffed with luxe shampoos and grooming essentials from New York-based men's salon Martial Vivot. The NYC Salon Pour Hommes on 54th Street was founded by French men's hairstylist Martial Vivot, who is known for good reason as the gentleman's barber … Friday, June 9, brings a personal appearance from an NIOD Skincare expert, Forty Five Ten on Main, 1615 Main St., 214.559.4510, Linden Wilson DOWNTOWN Beauty Buzz V ictory Park is enjoying a rebirth of sorts, with a flurry of new construction and openings. After three years, Tristan Simon makes a re-entrée into the restaurant and entertainment biz with several hot new projects in the flourishing district. (Simon was the mastermind behind Consilient Restaurants' The Porch, Victor Tangos, and Hibiscus, w h i c h H e a d i n g t o n C o m p a n i e s acquired in 2014.) Rebees, Simon's new restaurant group, will open and operate three new yet-to-be-named concepts, with openings slated for late 2017: a 4,000-square-foot retail space Stunning VICTORY specializing in locally made, yet-to-be- announced goods; a co-working space and cafe; and Simon's updated take on a Texas saloon. Other openings include Tex-Mex fave Mesero, debuting in early 2018, while Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas and luxury apartment complex The 23 are slated to open later this year. Recently, the district created a public art program, with a fitting "V" hand-sign sculpture called Heavy Handed by Los Angeles-based artist Nathan Mabry; a large-scale sculpture by Las Vegas artist Tim Bavington will pop up this summer. India Pougher T his month, Highland Park Village goes a little bit country as sisters Lizzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means — Texas natives who hail from a fifth-generation cattle ranching family — open bespoke boot store Miron Crosby above Honor Bar. The ranchette-size studio stocks men's, women's, and children's boots handcrafted in leather and exotic skins (crocodile, stingray) by Rios of Mercedes. Put your brand on a pair with a monogram, logo, or ranch name, or handwrite a note to be sewn inside the lining. S o u t h w e s t e r n turquoise jewelry from Shiprock Santa Fe, beaded baubles from Mignonne Gavigan, and belt buckles and barware from Reno- based Comstock Heritage round out the stock. Little is well known as the founder of D.L. & Co. candles and scents; he turned the indie fragrance world on its head with his goth sensibility. Now he's delving into the natural fragrance world, which "has very little to do with the health benefits of natural fragrance," he says, "but everything to do with the depth and complexity." During his Dallas visit, Little launches his new Dirty Ginger fragrance with Forty Five Ten, its first retailer … The month culminates Saturday, June 17, when Dallas salon Hair by Charlie co-hosts a style fête that high- lights hair-care products from Swedish brand S a c h a j u a n , including a s e a - a l g a e blend that boosts hair's n a t u r a l b e a u t y .
