34 WE LIKE HER STYLE By Christina Geyer Photography Danielle Sabol T his is my first time to Dallas," said jewelry designer Lisa Eisner during a dinner celebrating a trunk show of her jewelry collection at Forty Five Ten on Main. "But it won't be my last. You're not getting rid of me!" We can think of at least two dozen people who would gladly beg Eisner to relocate from L.A. to Dallas: Brooke Davenport, for starters. She became friends with Eisner while living in L.A. and co-hosted the private dinner party for her at Mirador, with fellow pals and Eisner devotees Crystal Lourd, Margot Ruebel, and Wendy Payne. Forty Five Ten's Brian Bolke would no doubt love if Eisner took up residence; her jewelry flew out the door of his beautiful downtown store, with Lucy Wrubel, Leisa Street, and Jennifer Karol all snagging a piece or two. "I am obsessed with her," confesses Billy Fong, who adores Eisner for her unapologetically eccentric taste. The two met years ago, and Fong seized the opportunity to get reacquainted and introduced her to his dinner date, Ann Hobson. Even former PaperCity assistant editor Seth Vaughan caught wind of Eisner's appearance. Texting me from New York, he gushed, "She is so cool — one of Tom Ford's closest friends. The jewelry is incredible." After dessert was passed — and everyone sang happy birthday to Capera Ryan — the party continued, with Davenport and her crowd staying late for more rosé and plenty of time to chat with Eisner. It's fair to say the city is now obsessed with the multi-talented jewelry designer, whose style is utterly original. For more on her eccentric, rarified life, see page 36.
