What began as an answer to that quickly snowballed into a momentous undertaking, as PaperCity editor in chief Holly Moore and Alton LaDay of Alton LaDay Media rounded up a marquee list of sponsors and enlisted noted designers and art experts for an inspiring week of salon talks, panel discussions, book signings, pop-up shops with new product launches, cocktails, and dinners for the inaugural Texas Design Week, held in Houston in May. Gables West Avenue served as official HQ for TXDW, with a beautiful event venue where the annual PaperCity Design Awards celebration kicked off TXDW.
