L ike Sancerre with chèvre or chilled rosé on a warm summer day, Forty Five Ten and Napa make a delicious pair. Throw in a splash of Casa Dragones Joven tequila, a rustic barn, and a seriously stylish guest list, and you've got the perfect ingredients to toast Forty Five Ten's West Coast arrival. Glasses began clinking early in the new Yountville store, at the VIP preview party co-hosted by Forty Five Ten co-founder Brian Bolke and San Francisco-based interior designers Ken Fulk and Jay Jeffers, and Dallas art collector Cindy Rachofsky, a longtime friend of Forty Five Ten. Fashionable fare came by way of star chef Thomas Keller, whose Bouchon restaurant is just steps from Forty Five Ten's charming white-brick façade. Guests shopped the expertly edited collections, with 10 percent of the evening's sales benefitting Bay Area Legal Aid. But the evening didn't end there. Après cocktails, guests relocated to Howard and Cindy Rachofsky's summer farm residence, with lush rolling-hill views and a seasonal menu prepared by Ad Hoc, another of Keller's top-tier Napa eat- eries. Of course, it wouldn't be a gathering chez Rachofsky without Cindy's Margaritas, a longstanding Forty Five Ten signature cocktail that's served in Forty Five Ten's Dallas restaurants. Buttermilk fried chicken, perfectly grilled branzino, chocolate pudding and Frank Altumura wines filled the California-casual bill, while Bolke raised a shot of tequila, thanking friends and supporters.
