Anspon Restaurant BUZZ A taste of the Big Easy heads to town as acclaimed New Orleans chef John Besh readies his fi rst Houston restaurant, Eunice, for a fall debut. Besh's chef/partner Drake Leonards will man the range at 3737 Buffalo Speedway. Expect nostalgic Cajun fl avors from Leonards' childhood, combined with modern culinary techniques and Gulf Coast ingredients … Fleming's veteran Sam Governale unveils his fi rst restaurant, Emmaline, this month in the former Teala's space at 3210 West Dallas Street. The neighborhood eatery, designed by Ashley Putman, with chef Dimitri Voutsinas leading the kitchen, churns out seared scallops with grilled zucchini and crispy black rice to wood-roasted pork chops with fennel apple sauce … Brenham-based Truth BBQ brings a second iteration of its Texas Monthly barbecue joint to Houston. While an opening date hasn't been set, the eatery — which is owned by 29-year-old pitmaster Leonard Botello IV and new partner Johnny Carrabba — will debut in the former J. Black's space at 110 South Heights Boulevard … Agricole Hospitality — the force behind Heights concepts Revival Market, Coltivare, and Eight Row Flint — debuts three new concepts this fall in East Downtown at 1201 Saint Emmanuel Street. Co-owners Ryan Pera, Morgan Weber, and new partner Vincent Huynh unveil neighborhood restaurant Indianola, bar and lounge Miss Carousel, and fast casual pizzeria Vinny's … Dallas coffee shop Ascension opens its fi rst Houston spot next summer at the historic Heights Waterworks site. The collectors have spoken: The Texas Contemporary Art Fair returns for year seven, with Opening Night (benefi tting Contemporary Arts Museum Houston) Thursday, October 19, with Fair weekend Friday through Sunday, October 20 through 22.
