T he Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary added quite a bit of fashion cred to its Fashion Show and Luncheon this spring, all thanks to a little homegrown help. Kathie King, president of The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, and her mega-stylish daughter Joyann King, executive editor of Harper's Bazaar, who fl ew home to Dallas from New York for the afternoon to act as em- cee of the fashion show. "What better way to do some- thing for others than by shopping for yourself?" said Joyann, speaking of the Salvation Army's pop-up shop fi lled with new and donated wares. On the subject of ordering Chanel's new Gabrielle collection, she said, "I'm sure Tina Craig is already on it!" — referring to her good friend who was seated in the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center's grand Eugene McDermott Concert Hall. Après all the fashion hoopla, guests took their seats in the Meyerson's lobby for lunch then shopped racks upon racks of new and donated designer labels from Highland Park Village, Tootsies, Neiman Marcus, Stanley Korshak, and more.
