letter publisher STEVEN VISNEAU, SISTERBROTHER MGMT 10 W elcome to the New Year! Our first issue of 2018 sets the tone with engaging content from our editorial team and exclusive special sections. One such section is our annual Dallas PaperCity Design Awards. In its third year, the awards drew 210 strong entries, leaving our judges — design- ers Vicente Wolf, Victoria Hagan, Alexa Hampton, and architect Lauren Rottet — with the difficult task of selecting 16 winning projects. For a peek at this year's star projects, turn to page 46, where outstanding design from Welch | Hall Architects, S.B. Long Interiors, Emily Summers Design Associates, Wernerfield, and other designers and architects are featured. PaperCity is also pleased to present another special section, this one announcing NorthPark Center's 2018 Luxury Ambassadors. Each year, NorthPark Center recognizes influential philanthropists in a program that highlights the ambassador's selected charity and the important work of the organization. We've joined forces with NorthPark to further that mission with the special section you'll see in this issue, and with a robust digital campaign to be unveiled throughout the year. To spotlight this year's Luxury Ambassadors, our editorial team pro- duced beautiful portraits of each tastemaker, beginning on page 70 — Tina Craig for Best Buddies; Kimberly Schlegel Whitman for The Human Trafficking Institute; Kenny Goss for MTV Re:Define/Dallas Contemporary/ Goss-Michael Foundation; Lisa Cooley for Family Gateway; Nancy Gopez for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; Anne and Steve Stodghill for Cattle Baron's Ball; Niven Morgan for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital; Claire Emanuelson for The Crystal Charity Ball; and Charlotte Jones Anderson for The Salvation Army. In a city known for giving, this section only further encourages us to begin the year with a generous spirit. Wishing you much happiness in the months ahead.
