Nancy Rogers Christen Wilson with husband Derek Wilson 80 BILLY FONG'S 2017 BEST DRESSED I 've long been obsessed with Vanity Fair's annual International Best- Dressed List. It's often filled with obscure fallen European aristocracy and an up-and- coming rapper or polo player from Buenos Aires. Originally started by Eleanor Lambert in 1940, her list has grown to include such icons as Lily Auchincloss, Betty Catroux, Tina Chow, and Ozwald Boateng. I've decided our little hamlet needs its own. So, in lieu of a Bomb.com column this month, we'll ring in the year with a nod to the city's most stylish. Dallas turns it on day-to-day and goes over-the-top when a swellegant occasion calls for fancy- schmancy. For this inaugural year, I devised six categories and only three honorees for each. If you don't see your name, then keep the fashion coming. Hopefully you'll make the cut for our 2018 list! Billy Fong FRESHMAN YEAR These up-and-comers keep us glued to their Instagram accounts. They post pics while taking a jog, walking the pup, or pushing their Bugaboo stroller. Krystal Schlegel, Bradley Agather Means, Nasiba Adilova PERENNIALLY PRETTY Whether heading to the carpool line, lunch at Grange Hall, or just their mailbox, these girls always look great. They make fabulous look effortless and chic — not to mention, they have handbags and charm for days. Ann Hobson, Piper Wyatt, Brooke Hollis Hortenstine THE EDGY CROWD We are where we are — the South. Thanks to this crew, the envelope gets pushed. It's impossible to predict what they'll show up in: hand-painted trench or sneakers beneath a ball gown. Christen Wilson, Lucy Wrubel*, Diamond Mahone * Wrubel receives a special award for Best Shoes, as hers are generally higher and closer to heaven than anyone else's. CHIC X TWO Grown-up versions of high-school prom queen and king, these twosomes take turns making their signifi cant others shine — two lights are brighter than one. Merry and Chad Vose, Jessica and Dirk Nowitzki, Todd Fiscus and Ceron BOYS (AKA DALLAS' VERSION OF LAPO ELKANN) It ain't just about the ladies. These dapper guys look great every time we see them dashing around town. Filippo Tattoni-Marcozzi, Rajan Patel, Ed Shaikh LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD These ladies put Dallas on the fashion map, and we will be eternally grateful. Nancy Rogers*, Nancy Dedman, Deedie Rose *How does the saying go … "A Birkin a day keeps the doctor away." Todd Fiscus & Ceron Lucy Wrubel Jessica & Dirk Nowitzki Ed Shaikh Rajan Patel Bradley Agather Means Nasiba Adilova Diamond Mahone
