letter publisher STEVEN VISNEAU, SISTERBROTHER MGMT 10 T he slower social pace of January is always a nice way to ease into the New Year, but after guiltily binge-watch- ing Season 2 of The Crown and more Peaky Blinders episodes than I care to admit, I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. If you're feeling the same, you must secure a spot to attend these PaperCity-sponsored events — all taking place this month and raising much needed funds for worthy causes. Saturday, February 3, the UNICEF Gala, led by dynamo chairs Moll Anderson and Jan Miller Rich — along with celeb guests Brooke Burke- Charvet, Sheryl and Rob Lowe, and Skylar Grey — raises awareness and funds supporting humanitarian efforts for children in developing countries around the world. Thursday, February 8, the Saint Valentine's Day Luncheon & Fashion Show will bring us to NorthPark Center for a stylish afternoon benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Friday, February 23, we'll all sport our best rouge outfits for American Heart Association's annual Go Red for Women Luncheon. Chairs Lisa Cooley and Janelle Walker have kept mum about this year's featured speaker — but given the thousands of people who attend the event, we have no doubt it will be a notable name. Saturday, February 24, The Joule hotel once again serves as the posh locale for the Aging Mind Foundation Gala. For an event only in its fourth year, the gala has already made a lasting mark, raising $1.2 million for dementia and Alzheimer's disease research. This month also marks the official kickoff for House of DIFFA (save the date: Saturday, May 12), as the organization debuts its 2018 Style Council Ambassadors with a beautiful spread on pages 30 and 31. As you can tell, we're ready to get back on the party circuit. May your calendars runneth over! Briana Buxbaum Dallas Publisher briana@papercitymag.com
