The sold-out event raised more than $72,000, due partly to spirited bidding at the auctions. (A dining package from Parigi sounded so nice, it sold twice.) Dessert on the patio and late-night dancing to Downtown Fever Band were the perfect way to celebrate. A photo op with Llinda Llee Llama — the Statler's most fabulous four-legged former guest, was a hot spot. Lisa Collins Shaddock OPTICAL ILLUSIONS AT THE PEROT No dinosaurs came to life during the Perot Museum of Nature and Science's Night at the Museum Gala, but many mysterious oddities — invisible ink, augmented reality, optical illusions — were uncovered throughout the evening, including one tasty spot that served Wolfgang Puck's gnocchetti with black truffles — a foodie gem found, naturally, in the gems and minerals hall.
