56 AUTHENTIC STYLE I f anyone encapsulates both style and substance, it's the inimitable interior designer Michelle Nussbaumer. So, it made perfect sense for Schumacher creative director and author Dara Caponigro and author/ photographer Melanie Acevedo to launch their new book, The Authentics: A Lush Dive Into the Substance of Style (Clarkson Potter), at Ceylon et Cie, Nussbaumer's longtime Dallas Design District emporium. A stylish crowd flocked to the signing — if not to snatch their own copy of the beautiful tome, then to catch up with the always jet-setting Nussbaumer. SEEN: Stylist, illustrator, and fowl enthusiast Jimmie Henslee; designer/artists Joseph Steffen and Dan Rodriguez, both wearing their signature outlandish hats; interior designer Denise McGaha; dapper real-estate guru Sam Saladino; artist Chad Bettinger, arm-in-arm with his dog, Coco; and interior-design power couple Ann and David Sutherland.
