16 NIGHT OF ART CATHERINE D. ANSPON GOES ON THE ART HUNT. PHOTOGRAPHY DANIEL ORTIZ. F lora and fauna added an unexpected touch, as did the appearance of a 70-million-year-old fossil of a turtle, to make this year's iteration of Another Great Night in November — the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston's annual femmes-only fundraiser — among the most memorable since Another Great Night began in 1990. A crowd of several hundred descended upon the beautiful Memorial-area home of Kelli Weinzierl (and her oil-and-gas husband John) where she and co-chairs Lindley Arnoldy and Valerie Palmquist Dieterich reigned over the evening that began with the new edition of the CAMH's beloved trivia contest, changed from a quiz, and re-branded as Art Hunt. A Moroccan seated dinner followed, crafted by A Fare Extraordinaire and staged in a tent — devised by party designer Rebekah Johnson — where light projections mimicked the home's jaunty gi- raffe-patterned sun-room walls. The finale was an After Party in the bar, where DJ John Tran manned the turntable. One lucky lady, Emma Hart in from Sotheby's New York, went home with the grand loot: a Tiffany & Co. diamond watch. Second-place winner Trini Mendenhall won Post Oak Motor Cars' prize of 24 hours riding in style in a Bentley Bentayga. SOCIAL CANVAS: CAMH interim director Christina Brungardt and board member Kerry Inman; Tiffany & Co.'s Kim Wilson and Stella Yuan — the evening's luxury retail sponsor; collec- tors Leigh Smith, Susanne Pritchard, Gail Adler, Marita Fairbanks, Candace Baggett, Bridget Wade, Susie Criner, Sissy Kempner, Heidi Gerger, and Jereann Chaney (who serves as board chair); Post Oak Motor Cars' Diane Caplan; gallerists Nancy Littlejohn and Bryn Larsen; and CAMH curators Patricia Restrepo and new hire from MOCA L.A., Rebecca Matalon. Also basking in the art: Becca Cason Thrash; Lauren Rottet; MFAH curator Dena Woodall; Stephanie Mitchell; Liz Anders; Allie Fields; Stephanie Cockrell; Estela Cockrell; Cabrina Owsley; Cece Fowler; Christina Stith; Melissa Kepke Grobmyer; Lisa Oren; Catherine Masterson; Brittany Cassin; and CAMH 2019 Gala co-chairs Haydeh Davoudi and Jordan Seff. Save the date: Friday, April 12, at the museum, for an evening that celebrates CAMH's 70 years of provocative programming. AN ART HUNT, TIFFANY LOOT, AND A WARHOL ELECTRIC CHAIR MAKE ANOTHER GREAT NIGHT FOR CAMH A WINNER.
